OPEN POSITIONS

Haystax Technology is looking for highly skilled software developers to augment their existing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing and customizing content management solutions for government clients. Specifically, this individual will be charged with designing, developing, testing and deploying these systems for clients on a Microsoft SharePoint platform. Additionally, it is expected that this person will ensure that the deliverables meet the established requirements and quality standards. This includes the necessary security protocols.

REQUIRED SKILLS: In order to be considered for this position, candidate(s) must possess an active TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph. The successful candidate(s) will have strong software development skills. Ideally, the candidate will have experience developing in the SharePoint 2007 environment. Candidates with solid .NET or JAVA experience will be considered. Other software development skills may be considered, depending on the specific candidate experience and interest in working with SharePoint.

EDUCATION: The preferred candidate will possess at a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a comparable technical field or commensurate work experience.

PREFERRED SKILLS: 10+ years of experience in the software development arena. The ideal candidate will also have experience developing in the SharePoint platform.

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining a wide array of cloud infrastructures, writing automation scripts, and documentation of both Windows and Linux environments based in Amazon Web Services.

The Need:
In April 2013, Haystax Technology acquired Digital Sandbox, Inc. and created its Worldwide Public Safety Sector. Haystax recently launched its Public Safety Cloud (PSC) initiative in partnership with Amazon Web Services building on Digital Sandbox’s 15-year legacy providing threat management software to state and local governments. The goal of the PSC is to allow agencies to unlock the power of the data at their disposal and manage threats in a more collaborative environment. The Public Safety Cloud will allow Haystax to better serve its large and growing public safety customer base by providing frictionless access to critical public safety threat management Apps within a secure collaboration environment. Haystax is looking for motivated professionals who can help the company grow its business in Public Safety through the application of our Public Safety Cloud model. Our strategy is to locate Account Managers in key accounts/regions around the country and we have an immediate need for an Account Manager for our California accounts. Haystax has a large and growing footprint in the Sate of California among local public safety agencies, regional entities, intelligence fusion centers, and state agencies. We are looking for a professional to lead this account, ensuring continued outstanding customer service, creating a long-term roadmap, and overseeing the growth of this key set of customers.

The Role:
As Account Manager, you will be responsible for growing the software account footprint and size in California among local public safety agencies, state agencies, and private companies. The objective is to drive adoption of the Public Safety Cloud and ensure its successful rollout to existing and new customers. You will inherit a high-performance team of project managers and field engineers that have been in place in California for several years. You will be the leader of this team and will work in collaboration with Haystax sales executives and corporate leadership to define and execute on a long-term strategy in California. As the leader of the account, your responsibilities will include:

• Account planning. You will work with existing customers and the Haystax team to create a strategic plan and roadmap for the key accounts in California. You will present that plan to Senior Management within 30 days.

• Program Execution and Delivery. You will implement control measure and metrics to ensure consistency and quality across all California accounts. You will be evaluated based on a customer feedback survey.

• Growth. You will be responsible for the growth of the California accounts and will be measured based on financial metrics of booking (license and services), revenue, and profitability. As a leader of a small, but high-performance team, you must be capable of devising and communicating long-term solutions directly to clients.

This role will be a growth opportunity for the person we hire. We expect that the growth of the California account to result in significant West Coast staff growth. The individual that fills this position will have significant input on how the firm organizes and executes on these accounts and on other accounts in the Western United States. Additionally, Haystax Technology is on a high growth trajectory and this position will be part of the leadership committee of the Worldwide Public Safety Sector, a key component of Haystax.

Required Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of successful leadership in the Homeland Security, Public Safety, or related industry, preferable directly with state and local government. Related experience in state or local Government can be substituted for specific law enforcement, fire, or emergency management experience.
  • Experience with public safety or homeland security software systems such as GIS, Incident Management Systems, Intelligence Management Systems, or collaboration software. Working understanding of technology and how it is implemented and used in public safety missions is essential to success in this job.
  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in a technical or public safety related discipline.
  • Superior written and oral communication skills – this individual will be expected to write white papers and deliver frequent briefings on proposed customer solutions, program status, and major issues in the account.
  • Ability to produce client-ready deliverables with minimal guidance – this individual will represent the firm directly to the customer set.
  • Facilitative team leadership skills – the ability to get results from small, short-term project teams that include both client and firm staff
  • Eligible to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance
  • Willing to travel

Desired Qualifications – preferred, but not required:

  • Understanding of Federal, State, and Local grant programs
  • Advanced degree in a public safety related field
  • Prior military, law enforcement, fire, or EMS experience of any kind. Our projects focus on issues of terrorism, natural hazards, crime and general preparedness, so this experience is a useful subject matter credential.
  • Experience with Cloud architecture a major plus
  • Active / current Secret or Top Secret security clearance
